A while back I sort of made a claim that this would be pretty much the last word on DC, which really belonged to Isako's eloquent articulation of what defines relationships and generally a large part of our lives.

After everything else, I could talk try and talk technicals, but I'm not good at that. It looks great, it moves great, but at some point it's just diminishing returns. Good enough is good enough.

Your appraisals of DC seem so...um, poetic? They remind me why I loved this show so much so keep 'em coming!

As far as Isako is concerned, I found her character to be somewhat melancholy, as if she'd been forced to grow up emotionally too early, which I guess is what actually happened. From a child's perspective I suppose she comes across as being 'one of us' but embodying the confidence and knowledge that makes children look up to adults - in a way she's something of a youngsters' role model...maybe.

Like you, I had trouble remembering that this was a kids' show at times - the themes and ideas are so universal.
