Gspace extension to 20 MB
With the recent expansion of the allowable GMail attachment size to 20 MB, some folks dug into the Gspace Firefox extension config files to take advantage of the new attachment size. I tried the hosted xpi installation file, but it didn't quite work out.
As a matter of fact, it didn't even start installing.
If you have Gspace and that xpi didn't work for you either, I have an alternative. I made the instructed modifications and generated a new gspace.jar file.
You're going to have to find the directory where the old gspace.jar resides. I'm on Windows, and for me, it was located in:
C:\
Documents and Settings\
<user_name>\
Application Data\
Mozilla\
Firefox\
Profiles\
default.j43\
extensions\
{B9C8BE50-7105-4ec6-8FB4-4935C0671648}\
chrome\
You might want to back up your old gspace.jar by renaming it.
Close Firefox, transfer the new gspace.jar into the directory, and restart the browser. You're going to have to go to the Gspace control panel and change the attachment size from 14 MB to 20 MB.
That's all folks. Pretty reasonable.
